Inside a sandstorm. Story time: This was probably one of the hardest conditions we’ve ever filmed in. Our driver told us that, at some point, the wind was coming. We didn’t really understand what he meant until we looked towards the horizon and noticed this strange haziness. Something in the air just didn’t look quite right. Within 20 minutes, it was upon us. Sand was everywhere, flying through the air, hitting our faces so hard that it actually left marks on our skin. We had never experienced anything like it. And somehow, we kept filming. As harsh as it was, the whole thing looked incredible on camera. The light, the movement, the chaos…it felt almost unreal. Until suddenly, we could barely see anything anymore. The sandstorm had completely surrounded us. We stayed for as long as we physically could, until Nature won, as it always does, and we had no choice but to leave. Moments like this remind us how small we are, but also how much we can actually handle. Because when you’re standing in the middle of something completely out of your control, getting through it becomes the only option. And somehow, once you do, the things that felt impossible before don’t seem quite so impossible anymore. #desert #sahara #saharadesert #sandstorm
